Grant Bands is an active participant in the MCBA,

Adam has served as the Director of Bands at Grant since the summer of 2024, bringing passion, dedication, and artistry to the program. A proud graduate of Battle Creek Lakeview High School (Class of 2019), Adam continued his musical journey at Western Michigan University, where he earned his degree in 2023.

Guided by the belief that “Without music, life would be a mistake” — Friedrich Nietzsche — Adam approaches teaching and directing with the conviction that music is not only an art form but a vital part of human experience.

Throughout his career, Adam has been shaped by the mentorship and inspiration of his teachers at every stage. Their influence continues to guide his philosophy: to foster growth, creativity, and excellence in every student who walks into the band room.

Today, Adam leads Grant Bands with a vision of building community through music, empowering students to discover their own voices, and carrying forward the legacy of those who inspired him.
